Richard Rebneris, P.Eng.

Founder

I’m an engineer by education, raised as a farm kid at the plow, and in this business, someone who likes getting projects across the line. I started On Point to bring humble people with passion together and build a firm that’s practical, responsive, and grounded in real-world experience — not corporate fluff. If it can be explained with a hand sketch at the whiteboard, do it.

I’ve been in this industry since 1991 — nearly 35 years — and learned responsibility in its many forms from a young age. I’ve worked across both public and private sectors on everything from buildings to infrastructure. Time in the saddle teaches you what makes a project — and the people behind it — succeed, and what gets in the way. My job is to cut through the noise, bring the right people together, and keep the work moving with clarity and purpose.

People I work with appreciate my approach: listen first, stay calm under pressure, take responsibility, and avoid making things more complicated than they need to be. I’m not big on titles or ego — let old-fashioned good work and honest, mutual respect be your calling card.

Outside of work, I’m a dad to two grown daughters and someone who’s always learning, taking smart risks, and exploring this time and space we share — with curiosity, humility, and a sense of humour.
